The date was March 25th, 2024, Members of the Association of Professional Party Organizers and Event Managers in Nigeria (APPOEMN) gathered at the Sheba Event Center to review the activities of the past year and to chart a new course for the future of the association at their Annual General Meeting.
Welcoming the esteemed members, the General Secretary and CEO of Delonix Event, Jumoke Olatunji said the Annual General Meeting marks an important occasion for the members to reflect on the achievements, challenges, and future endeavors of our association.
She further stated that throughout the past year, the association has accomplished remarkable milestones, thanks to the dedication and collective efforts of our members, patrons, gems, and board members. We have organized successful events, fostered meaningful collaborations, and contributed positively to our community.
In his speech, the Vice President of APPOEMN and CEO of Tijani Balloons, Tijani Mohammed shed more light on the Chapter formation. He said that in the past year, Ekiti, Edo, Asaba/Warri, Oyo, and Ogun have been formed while discussions are still on to create more chapters shortly.
In her speech, The President of APPOEMN and CEO of Dunamis Events, Funmbi Akinyosoye highlighted the achievements of APPOENM in the last year including The Annual Owambe New Year party which was tagged: Funkified, the Exclusive monthly training session designed for continuous professional development of members, The Event Industry Conference 6.0 tagged: Transition to Sustenance: Exploring New Trends, Growth, Annual Dinner and Award Night Themed: Afro Beats and Corporate Social Responsibility among others.
Among the activities lined up by APPOEMN for the year 2024 are: Yard Sale which has been scheduled for May 22nd, 2024 at the Ndubuisi Kanu Park Ikeja, The Event Industry Conference 7.0 already scheduled for 17th -19th September 2024. Others are the Talent Hunt Competition, The Ultimate APPOEMN Olympics, and the Health Check Fair. 2024 promises to be a year full of activities that will build capacity, foster collaboration and team bonding among members, and well as improve the General well-being of APPOEMN members
